    Architect, decorator, joiner, engineer and designer, Hugues Sambin, an accomplished Renaissance artist, combined a multitude of talents. Originally from Gray, he had the opportunity to work in Fontainebleau under Primaticcio and to further his training with Serlio. He settled in Dijon, where he ran a large workshop and took on many commissions in Burgundy and Franche-Comté. This tour will introduce you to the work of the architect and sculptor Hugues Sambin and his influence on architecture in Besançon, as well as the late Renaissance in Besançon. 3pm: Friday 10 May, Friday 7 June, Saturday 28 September, Saturday 26 October 10am: Fridays 12 July, 9 August Meeting point at the Office de Tourisme et des Congrès 52 Grande Rue (place du Huit-Septembre 1944) Full price: €8 Bookings must be made with the Office de Tourisme et des Congrès du Grand Besançon.
