Clio en concert à Besançon

Since the revelation of her debut album, Clio, in 2016, and the confirmation of Déjà Venise (2019) and L'amour hélas (2021), and like other singer-songwriters before her, from Kate Bush to Tori Amos, Clio has been writing alone, between Paris and her home, in what she calls her "permanent song-building workshop". But that hasn't stopped her songs from attracting a wide audience, thanks to the accessibility of streaming. Clio can be heard in Brussels, Montreal, Mexico City, Istanbul and Santiago! Deceptively light, benefiting from the immediacy of British pop cultivated by the likes of Jane Birkin, Etienne Daho and Françoise Hardy, her pop comes into its own on her fourth album, Carambolages. Carambolages is named after a duet recorded with Alex Beaupain, with whom she shares a mutual esteem, the importance of words, and the joy felt in making (and having listened to) music, sometimes with a voice other than her own. Clio unfolds "the parallel life of writing". And it's truly beautiful.
