Crèches remarquables d'une carmélite artiste

This Christmas, enter the chapel of the Diocesan Centre to discover the remarkable work of Sister Marie-Madeleine, a true artist. The Carmelite monastery in Saint-Maur (Jura) is delighted to be exhibiting around twenty nativity scenes, all handcrafted by Sister Marie-Madeleine du Christ, Jeanine Monnet (1925-2020), a true artist. At the age of 6, she already knew how to use a chisel in her father's workshop to sculpt little Virgins. Sculpture, painting, drawing, embroidery... Stop for a moment to admire the inspiring beauty of these cots during Advent and Christmas.
