    From Sunday 6 June 1940, when German aircraft first appeared in the skies over Besançon, to the liberation of the city on 8 September 1944, Besançon lived through four years of occupation. It was a painful and turbulent period, punctuated by acts of heroism and moving episodes. A memorable tour through the heart of the city. Tickets: €8 - €6 for students, under-18s, members of the Tourist Office (on presentation of card), disabled visitors. Free for under-12s and jobseekers.
